Victoria Roberts
Advocate, Educator, and Leader
Victoria Roberts continues to serve her community with unwavering dedication and purpose. As a woman with lived experience, she brings an authentic voice of strength, resilience, and hope to spaces where those qualities are often most needed. Her personal journey fuels her passion for justice, healing, and empowerment.
A published author and motivational speaker, Victoria lends her expertise and insight to numerous boards and consultative projects. Over the years, she has received multiple honors, including recognition by the Nassau County Executive as a Distinguished Woman in 2018 for her outstanding contributions to the community.
Victoria’s work spans many disciplines but remains grounded in a consistent mission: uplifting others. She has been deeply involved in youth empowerment initiatives and in February 2023 began her role as an Adjunct Professor in the Criminology Department at Hofstra University. There, she helped develop a transformative writing workshop rooted in the Herstory pedagogy—aimed at changing hearts, minds, and policies through storytelling.
Her professional background is equally impressive. Victoria served for over 18 years as the Executive Assistant in the Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington. She went on to coordinate the Nassau County Re-Entry Task Force, direct Human Trafficking Programs, and serve as Senior Program Director at Housing Works. Currently, she is the Senior Director at Safe Horizon, where she supports individuals actively fleeing interpersonal violence.
Victoria Roberts is a relentless advocate for the marginalized and underserved. She is a champion of safe and brave spaces—spaces where every voice can be heard, and every story can matter.
