WORC
GYRL
WORC GYRL was created in response to the rising number of girls entering the juvenile detention system in Nassau County. The program addresses trauma, truancy, mental health challenges, and substance use through evidence-based, strengths-based peer groups using the Girl Circle Curriculum.
Participants receive educational advocacy through our partnership with Legal Services of Long Island. To foster cultural engagement and broaden perspectives, girls take part in museum visits, Broadway performances, and interactive creative arts projects.
