WORC

Partnership with the Problem-Solving Court of Nassau County.

WORC maintains a longstanding and impactful collaboration with the Problem-Solving Court of Nassau County, offering a meaningful alternative to incarceration for justice-impacted survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Through this partnership, WORC operates a comprehensive day reporting program designed to promote healing, accountability, and reintegration. Our trauma-informed, survivor-centered services include:

  • Court Advocacy Providing in-court support and guidance to help clients navigate the legal system.

  • Case Reporting Maintaining regular communication with court personnel to track client progress and compliance.

  • Legal Advocacy Assisting clients in accessing legal protections and asserting their rights.

  • Housing Support Offering relocation assistance to help clients secure safe, stable housing as part of their recovery and reintegration process.

This collaborative approach ensures that survivors are treated with dignity and compassion while receiving the structured support necessary to rebuild their lives and avoid further system involvement.
