Workforce Development Program

The Woman’s Opportunity Rehabilitation Center (WORC) provides a comprehensive workforce development program designed to create qualified wage earners prepared to enter the workforce through entry-level employment. Our program equips justice-impacted women and at-risk individuals with the tools and training necessary to achieve economic self-sufficiency and long-term stability.

Key components of the WORC Workforce Development Program includes:

  • Financial Literacy Participants gain essential knowledge in budgeting, saving, credit management, and financial planning to support informed decision-making and financial independence.

  • Entrepreneurship The program fosters innovation and self-employment by introducing the fundamentals of starting and managing a small business.

  • Career Exploration Clients explore a range of career pathways to identify fields that align with their interests, strengths, and the labor market demand.

  • Resume and Cover Letter Development Individualized support is provided to create professional resumes and cover letters that reflect skills, experience, and career goals.

  • Paid Occupational and Vocational Training Participants engage in hands-on training programs that provide industry-recognized credentials and direct access to employment opportunities.

Through this holistic approach, WORC’s workforce development initiative empowers individuals to transition into the workforce with confidence, competence, and a clear path forward.
